Shakespeare's Globe
Shakespeare's Globe Exhibition explores the life of Shakespeare, the London where he lived, and the theatre for which he wrote. A fascinating guided tour then takes you into the unique space.
The Globe Exhibition has now been refurbished with most exhibits re-presented to improve your journey through the history of Shakespeare and the Globe. Find out about extravagant Elizabethan costumes, Renaissance instruments and how they were used, and the dramatic stories of the first Globe crossing the Thames, and the new Globe being reconstructed on Bankside.
Theatre Tours
Throughout the year, a fascinating guided tour of the Globe Theatre is included in your visit to Shakespeare's Globe Exhibition. Let one of our guides bring this extraordinary space to life.
Live events in the Exhibition

In addition to the permanent displays, an extensive selection of wood engravings by the artist June Crisfield Chapman is on show in the Exhibition between 20 April and 5 October 2008.
Additional Information: There is no access to the theatre during matinee performances. Visitors will be taken to the nearby site of the Rose, Bankside's first playhouse.
