Specially for 2009, to commemorate the 500th anniversary of King Henry VIII’s accession to the English throne, this special pass from Historic Royal Palaces celebrates the life and times of King Henry VIII with admission to his Royal palaces . Be amazed by the incredible stories of intrigue that went on behind the walls of these palaces and experience it first hand !
For 2009, the Tower of London will showcase the spectacular exhibition ‘Dressed to Kill’ featuring weapons and armoury brought together for the first time at Henry VIII’s own palace and at Hampton Court Palace ,the theme is Henry VIII, heads and hearts, where the wedding party for Henry’s marriage to Katherine Parr, his sixth wife will be re-enacted. On arrival at the palace, guests will become a wedding guest and enjoy a fantastic not to be missed experience! As Henry’s wives played an important part in the story of the Tudor dynasty, Hampton Court will bring them together for the first time in an exhibition of six rarely viewed 16th century portraits called Henry’s Women.
