Mystical Stonehenge
5,000 years ago these huge 40-ton rocks were dragged to the lonely, windy plain of Salisbury Hill, and their secrets continue to tantalise and intrigue scholars and visitors to this day. There will be time here for coffee with views of the stones or for an independent visit.
Salisbury
Enjoy this market town and its many traditional shops. Time also for lunch and visit to its famous Cathedral built 800 years ago where you can see the Magna Carta.
Bath
This great Roman city owes its existence to the hot spring water that according to legend, cured the ancient British King Bladud of leprosy. You will see Bath Abbey, the much photographed Pulteney Bridge as well as the famous Roman Baths.
We will return to London around 7.00pm.
